About Four Commuters in the popular Erie Junction, Sakpoba Road axis in Benin City, have Reportedly lost their lives to a Gastly accident between A tipper driver and Taxi Bus plying the root.
The accident which happened early Tuesday Morning was said to have caused major upset in the city Center.
According to eyewitnesses, the tipper driver who was suspected to have lost control while heading in the opposite direction rammed into a moving white vannet Bus, leaving Many members of the vehicle injured with four dead on the spot.
Some lifeless Bodies of commuting passengers who died in the incident have been deposited in the Central morgue while others at Stella Obasanjo hospital respectively according to the source.
Helpless onlookers and sympertizers flooded the scene in attempts to rescue the survivals, as blood stains and relics of the badly damaged vehicle littered the scene of the incident.
When Contacted to confirm the number of lives lost, the State Police Image maker SP Kontongs Bello, said four People lost their lives to the accident, whilst several others sustained various degrees of injuries and are now receiving treatments accordingly.
He also confirmed the arrest of the tipper driver who he noted, rammed into a white vannet Bus causing a halt to traffic flow.
Despite the confirmation by the police authority, some eyewitnesses counted ten people to have died in the accident.
Similarly, an accident was said to have earlier occured at St savior junction before the Erie incident though no life was Reportedly lost
Road users and motorists face difficult times accessing the axis owing largely to the twin accidents and the restive actions taken by a section of Bus drivers plying the root.
