The Former Chairman, of the Boards of the Nigerian Breweries Asuerimen Ighodalo, has officially declared his intentions to contest for the office of the governor of Edo State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Ighodalo who made his aspirations known on Wednesday, at the Party’s Secretariat in Benin City said, his administration will focus as a priority on removing the consequences of a lack of income and other resources when giving the mandate.

He noted that no part of the state can develop without the relevant infrastructure to aid growth.

The PDP, aspirant who believes that Education is the gateway to opportunities stressed that he will ensure that it becomes a beacon of hope to end generational poverty in the state.

He urged the mammoth crowd that besieged the party secretariat to key behind his aspirations to build Edo of all.

Visible amongst the party hierarchy who attended the official declaration are Chief Tom Ikimi, Former Speaker of the 7th Assembly, Rt Hon. Marcus Onobun, Rt Hon. Friday Itula, Hon. John Yakubu, the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, Hon Charity Aiguobarueghian, PA OWERE DICKSON IMASOGIE, Sen. Roland Owie, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe. Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, PDP HoA Members, Council Chairmen, PDP State Chairman Dr. Antony Aziegbemi, Bishop Okosun, Sen. Francis Alimikhena, and a host of others.

However, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and the former State Chairman of the Party, Chief Dan Orbih were absent from the event.
