Edo State Government says those who indiscriminately dump refuse or wastes at unauthorized locations across the state, would henceforth, face arrest and possible Sanctions.
The General Manager, Edo State Waste Management Board, Osadebamen Imariagbe, gave the warning while leading members of the State Security Network, Health officials, Nigeria Police Force and other stakeholders on a road show across designated areas in Benin City.
Imariagbe said the road show was aimed at sensitizing the people across various markets in compliance with government’s directive on the new order of keeping the state clean.
He noted that embarking on the road show was part of efforts to ensure that the people are aware of steps taken by the government in making sure the state is clean.
