The Former Governor of Edo State and Senator representing Edo North Senatorial zone, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole believes that his Party, the All Progressive Congress, APC, is not an all-comers ground for failed political interests.

Reacting to the feud between the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and his Deputy comrade Philip Shaibu, Oshiomhele said those in power must exhibit loyalty.

Oshiomhole statement was made when he paid a condolence visit to the family of Chief David Edebiri, the Esogban of Benin Kingdom who passed recently at the age of 93 years.

He described the late Chief Edebiri as his forester father and a role model for all to emulate.

Speculation of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu defecting to the All Progressives Congress APC, has trended in weeks across media spaces in the state.

Given the former Edo State Governor and the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s Position, things may have come to zero as in a shrouded reference to the speculation.

Oshiomhole who was sceptical about the alleged move of the now embattled Deputy Governor to defect to the APC, said people must learn to be loyal to their principals, adding that the APC is not a rehabilitation center for despicable politicians.

According to him, regardless of any political party in power, people must understand that peace is critical in the development of the state.

He added that the supra party to which all politicians belong is the Federal Republic of Nigeria, just as he maintained that APC is satisfied with its present state.

The former APC Boss noted that even though the party seems to be happy in opposition, they are not about to receive people who are coming because they have lost out, adding “There is no IDP camp in APC.
