The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has launched a training campaign against using stories that resonate bad cultural diversity in Nigeria owing to its ability to hold a captive audience across the globe

At the opening ceremony of a one-week-long training event organized to reorientate scriptwriters in the movie industry in Benin City, Edo State, where the National president Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, MON, said the move is centered on promoting new ideas to showcase the positive social transformation that will attract investors.

He said Nigerians didn’t wake up to learn the vibes but learned it from a source that has become a laughing stock, adding that even those we got it from are now better packaged as a society.

Rollas, however, urged scriptwriters to consciously find somewhere in their storytelling to lace the truth about the Culture, and how, hospitable Nigerians are.

Dr. Rollas warned against portraying the country as a terrorist Center where fetish acts are practiced.

On his part, the host and Chairman AGN, Edo State Chapter, Opute Joel also expressed confidence in the new steps.

Opute hinted that the training will obligate all participants, to commit to upholding the core values of promoting Human Dignity, Patriotism, Integrity, National Unity, and Professionalism.

A participant, Faithlyn Osaro who expressed her happiness said the training will consolidate and build new relationships between culture and national development
