Nigerians have become more worried over the increasing Volume in their agitations for a divided Country that is almost, overwhelming Voices of Others that are Calling For a united nation.
At a One day Sensitization program, Organized by Faculty of Peace in Benin City, Edo State, to mark this year World Peace day, Citizens say only Continuous dialogue can help strengthen the corridor of peace.
Keynote Guest Speaker and Former National Assembly member, Senator Shehu Sani who spoke at the event, said he is Convinced that, through continuous dialogue, and engagements peace is assured.
Senator Sani believed that, heightened injustice, ethnic and political lines are some of the contributing factors for those calling for a separation.
The outspoken senator, Also identified cracks in the Structural competents of successive governments as a challenge that must be addressed if the country must talk about it unity.
Another Speaker, Comrade Austin Osakue, noted that, all that Nigerians are seeking, is the provision of basic aminities, which he claimed, is necessitating the various calls for separation
The think tank and organizer of the event, Comrade Kelly Osunbor while speaking on the significance of the Sensitization event, said Nigeria Unity, has come under serious threats from different sections cut across the country.
Osunbor maintained that, unlike other forms of discussion, dialogue is all inclusive formation that requires, not only sitting around tables for peace, but for self reflection.
