Nigerian Army’s 4 Brigade, says it has neutralised a notorious kidnapper and rescued 4 victims in Warake Forest, Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of the State.
The Troops during an Operation IGBO DANU 1 alongside personnel from the Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers along with Edo State Security Corps, carried out the operation on March 3, 2026, after hearing a gunshot in the forest during a night patrol.
Highlighting key achievements in a statement released and made available to newsmen in Benin City on Wednesday, by the Brigade Command’s Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Captain Kennedy Anyanwu said 4 victims were rescued unhuted, and reunited with families.
The statement gave the names of the Four victims rescued as Stella Abbas, Age 29, Tina Ododa, Age 19, Razak Rashid, Age 27 and Mutanibi Kalifa Age 16.
On Items recovered, the statement confirmed that ₦650,000, footwear, power bank, phones were recovered while a Shrine with charms and photos destroyed.
According to the statement, the superior firepower of troops forced the remaining criminals to abandon their victims and flee into the bush.
Similarly, It said, A 39-year-old Omogbegha Solomon, was also arrested in Ujemen, Esan West Local Government Area, of Edo State in a separate engagement with suspected criminals.
