The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, has received a delegation of business development partners from Africa and Switzerland, exploring sustainable investment opportunities in Edo State and Nigeria.

The visit, led by Alfred Okoigun of Arco Group Plc, included John Davenport of Sulzer Services Europe, Africa, and UK, and Henry Craukamp of Sulzer Pumps South Africa.

The Oba commended the delegation’s long-standing commitment to excellence, boosting Nigeria’s GDP and oil and gas sector development.

He praised their perseverance and network-building, saying, “We pray… we reap the fruits of our labour.”

A statement issued and made available to newsmen in Benin City on Sunday by Osaigbovo Iguobaro,
Chief Press Secretary to the Oba of Benin said the visit highlights strategic business planning and local content development in Nigeria.

On his part, Alfred Okoigun described the partnership with foreign investors as a milestone in local content development, with Michael Okoigun, MD of Arco Maintenance and Engineering, driving the partnership and accompanying the delegation on the visit to the Oba’s palace.
