The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, says it has arrested Reginald Peter Chidiebere, a notorious drug trafficker who evaded capture for 13 years.
Chidiebere was caught following the seizures of cocaine and heroin linked to him at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
Chidiebere was first arrested in 2013 but jumped bail and went into hiding.
He’s linked to 49.7kg heroin shipment from South Africa and 2.2kg heroin found at his Lagos hotel.
Meanwhile, NDLEA also said it has dismantled a methamphetamine lab in Imo State, seizing 18.4kg of the drug.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa, praises officers for their persistence in bringing Chidiebere to justice.
