Flights across the Middle East were cancelled Sunday as airspace over Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel, Bahrain, the UAE, and Qatar remained closed following US-Israel strikes on Iran that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The carrier cancelled flights scheduled for Sunday from Delhi, Mumbai and Amritsar to London, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris.

It added that more flights to London, Birmingham, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen and Frankfurt had been cancelled.

Affected Airlines are Aegean Airlines: suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Erbil until March 2
– Air Astana: cancelled Middle East flights until March 3, Air Canada: cancelled flights to Israel until March 8, Dubai until March 3, Emirates, Etihad, FlyDubai: suspended flights to/from Dubai,
Lufthansa, British Airways, Qatar Airways: suspended or cancelled flights to affected regions.

Airlines continue to monitor the situation, with many flights cancelled or rescheduled.

Meanwhile Israel has launched a Broad wave new intensive Air strike against Iran around its industrial areas and Tehran on Sunday where several people have been confirmed injured.

The Iranians have not relented as they have also launched six waves of missiles on US facilities across middle east. They continue to threaten to intensify more offensive missiles on Israel and US bases in the middle east.

US President Donald Trump has warned Iran If they retaliate they will be hit with what they have never seen before.

Iranian media has confirmed the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei their supreme leader.

Reports say 201 people have been killed with 100 people injured since the new wave of attacks in Iran
