Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, the resumed, Group A leaders Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin pulled a last-minute equalizer to Secure a one-all draw, against the Enyimba International Football Club of Aba, in a revised fixture on Saturday.
The Week 10 match between the People’s Elephants and the Benin Arsenal had been tagged the star match of the week before the kickoff.
The coach Monday Odigie’s led Insurance were, however, trailing the former two times CAF champions by a goal to nil through a 44th minute Emeka Obioma’s goal when he converted from the spot kick to give Enyimba the lead in the First Half.
But in what seems to be their first loss, against the run of play, Imade Osarenkhoe, the Benin Arsenal’s star boy, again delivered in the 81st minute to keep insurance as the only team yet to lose a Match this season.
Bendel Insurance FC was a better side with a 1-0 win over Enyimba in the revised fixture played on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin.
The draw means that Insurance leads group A with 25 points after recording seven victories and three draws in ten matches played so far.
