EBEN ENASCO REPORTING.
Pensioners under the aegis of the Association of Retired Civil Servants Welfare of Nigeria, ACSWON, are now more than determined to get their gratuities sorted, after exhausting the long wait.
They are saying that, the Edo State Government has not done enough in its obligations, Four years after undergoing screening for Payment.
Amadin Edobo Okoro who is taking responsibility for the statement released, on Thursday, in Benin City, highlighted their predicaments, to include, removal of the Yellow Papers which stands as evidence over Government dept instrument, Non implementation of Harmonization for pensioners across Board, and abeyance on payment of gratuity as well as other entitlement such as consequential salary adjustment.
They also lamented what they described as, illegal withdrawal from their pension allowances, while urging the state government to halt the withdrawal and live a legacy worth the time.
Okoro maintained that, they only resolved to call out the State government over its decisions to remain mute amidst several attempts to seek government attention.
