Edo Music Star Ebagua Unveils Talent Hunts, Seek Stakeholders Collaboration.

In a bid to promote artistic excellence and foster creative partnerships, Edo State’s renowned music star, Esther Edokpayi Ebagua, has launched a talent hunt initiative.
The move aims to discover fresh voices and innovative talent in the music industry that was unveiled at the victor Uwaifo creative hub in Benin City on Friday.
According to her, through the platform, the initiative will discover and nurture emerging talents in various artistic disciplines, Promote cultural preservation community empowerment, and provide a stage for talented individuals to showcase their skills across Niger Delta region.
Addressing the large turn out of participants, Ebagua highlighted the importance of creating the platform for raw talents that will feature indigents cut across the state while emphasizing that over the years, Edo has been a hub of natural talents including Sir Victor Uwaifo, Majek Fashek, as well as the new trends like Rema, Johnny Drill, Shalipopi who now rank amongst the best globally.
She urged the support of the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo and the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Ewuare II, CFR, while thanking them for their tireless efforts at making the state great.
Ebagua said their support would help preserve the cultural heritage of Edo State and by extension, south-south states while ensuring its transmission to younger generations.
Speakers at the event including Engineer Gabros Idusuyi urged Edo People to embrace the initiative just as he vowed to identify with it.
On her part, the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Edo Talent Hunt, Adesuwa Lato noted that the project is expected to open up creatives in the state.
Lato said grand prizes were fixed for the winners including N1 Million naira for the 2nd Runner up, and N2 million naira for the 1st Runner Up.
For the winner, Lato said, a Toyota Camary 2022 model is rewarded plus a cash prize of N3 Million naira and a 5 years recording label deal.
