Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has expressed his confidence in the joint ticket of Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie to sustain the foundation his administration has laid in the past years, if elected in the forthcoming 2024 gubernatorial election.

Obaseki highlighted his administration’s achievements, including progress in education, security, and infrastructure, and emphasized the need for continuity to build on these gains.

He acknowledged that his administration could not address all the needs of the people within eight years but expressed confidence in Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie’s ability to continue and expand on his signature projects.

Speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party’s campaign rallies in Ehor and Abudu, Obaseki assured supporters that Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie have the capacity to deliver more than his administration.

He cited examples of his achievements, including the rebuilding of the Esigie Teacher Training College and investments in Orhionmwon, which he described as the luckiest and richest Local Government Area in the state.

Meanwhile, Asue Ighodalo, the PDP candidate, pledged to sustain and build on the foundation laid by Obaseki’s administration, expressing gratitude for the support of the people of Orhionmwon and Uhunmwande.

He assured victory in the forthcoming election, urging the people to remain resolute and not be intimidated by the All Progressive Congress’s federal might propaganda, encouraging them to stand firm and defend their votes, ensuring that their voices are heard and their choices respected.
