In a scathing attack, the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, has described the APC candidate, Hon. Monday Okpebholo, as a “loading brain,” implying a lack of intellectual capacity to govern the state.

Agbebaku’s remarks were made during a PDP official campaign flag-off in Ubiaja, Esan South-East Local Government Area,, Edo Central, where he canvassed support for his party’s candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo.

The Speaker’s comment drew cheers and laughter from the crowd, as he emphasized, “We cannot afford to have a ‘loading brain’ as our governor.”

In contrast, Agbebaku praised his party’s candidate, saying, “Asue’s brain is not loading, but packed with ideas.”

He expressed confidence in their victory, promising to continue wooing voters as the gubernatorial election approached.

However, Agbebaku’s jab highlights the intellectual gap between the two candidates where the voters are expected to make an informed decision as the campaign season intensifies.
