A leading Organization in the Fight Against Irregular Migration, Action Aid Nigeria, AAN, is Urging Ministry Department Agencies, MDAs, alongside other collaborators in Edo State, to do more in their roles in the realization of community dialogue that will ensure proper dissemination of information.
The group believes that, building capacities around recognized Community leaders and MDAs would enhance the existing mechanisms of partnership in the reintegration of Victims of irregular Migration.
At a three day Capacity building workshop for Government actors in Migration Response, held recently in Benin City, Edo State, The Consultant, Eucharia Anekwe, attributed the course to family, Ministry, Community and peer pressure mainstream as identifiable course of heightened migrants.
Anekwe, admonished relevant Agencies in Edo State, to revup commitment in activating their roles at building more capacities for sustainable development.
While expressing dissatisfaction over the increasing spate of irregular migration, she sued for more collaborative efforts in carrying out advocacy and networking among relevant Stakeholders.
On his part, Gambo Wada, a resource facilitator, Reminded participants on credible ways of raising resources through collaborative efforts to actualize project Objectives.
The Zonal Commander, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Person,NAPTIP, Ehidiebere Iruruo-Ifudu who was represented by the Public Relations Officer, Obi Onyebuchi, in her opening remarks hailed the organizer of the event. Iruruo-Ifudu, however, craved for sustainability of the advocacy templates
Representative of the Ministry of Education and other MDAs hailed the organizer of the event Action Aid Nigeria, AAN, noting that, the ministry have been handling migration issues since early 2000.
They explained that, the training has broderned more knowledge that will enrich their working Conditions.
